DVR …Where Nightmares Begin

Time to unwind, relax, curl up under a plush blanket, sip a glass of Pinot and catch up on my shows. It’s been a few weeks, so many to choose from.

Hmmm….what to watch, CSI, Criminal Minds, Stalker, Chicago PD, Grimm, Blue Bloods, and a new one CSI Cyber (great terror on the Internet). Are you seeing the trend ?  Apparently I like shows with criminals/evil mythical creatures but let’s not forget the heroes, they always catch the unsub. Criminal Minds it is. Maybe its the Pinot, maybe the cozy blanket, maybe I’m just tired.  I drift off to sleep partially through the episode.

Let the nightmare commence!

I’m afraid, I’m being chased, I can’t get away, I feel helpless, my screams are silent, someone HELP!! . It’s so vivid, this is really happening. Damn my subconscious, so intense almost depraved. Some time later I bolt up terrified, my heart racing, covered in sweat from head to toe, I’m frozen with fear. Where am I ? What’s going on? Please let me be ok. It’s not real! It’s NOT real! I have to convince myself. My eyes focus, I’m in the family room, I catch my breath, the television glows, an infomercial is on, all is good.

Maybe I’ll catch up on my shows when it’s light outside or maybe I’ll just start recording reality shows…on second thought those are even scarier, those characters are real !!!

Memories are something I treasure, and I want to capture them in writing here so I can keep them forever. Whether in the past or present, these are important to my heart.
